This is the privacy policy for the freude website. The data controller is freude bakes (referred to in this policy as “we”, “us” or “our”).

1.2 When we take orders over the telephone or online, we need to take your name, contact telephone number, address and any dietary information / special requests.

2.1 information obtained when placing orders
 We take your name and contact number so we have a point of contact to update you on your order. Special dietary requirements are obtained to ensure that you are not allergic to any ingredients we use. An address is needed in case you opt for a delivery service.

2.2 internal reporting, insights and analysis
 – We automatically track information based on your behavioural patterns when using our website. This is obtained via a Javascript tag within our website pages and tells us how you use our website, your browser information, location, operating system etc. This information is not tied to personally identifiable information. The data handler for this information is Squarespace and we use their analytics tool to analyse this information. More information is provided in the “third party organisations” section.

The personal information that we collect about you is confidential and information is only disclosed to a third party in the following circumstances:

3.1 Squarespace
We currently use Squarespace. Squarespace provides us with statistical data, which we use internally for insights, reporting & analysis. The information is obtained via a Javascript tag within our website pages and tells us how you use our website, your browser information, location, operating system etc. This information is not tied to personally identifiable information. 3.2 social media
The links on our website to social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter & Instagram) may forward tracking information on. This falls under the privacy policies of Facebook/Twitter/Instagram, which are viewable here:

Any information sent within the enquiry form on our website is received to our email inbox (Microsoft Live account). Access to this account is strictly for freude employees only. Employees have been given training in how to keep this information confidential.

Information received from our order forms is stored away securely.

 We make every effort to ensure that this website is free from viruses or defects. However, we can’t guarantee that your use of this website or any websites accessible through it won’t cause damage to your computer. It is your responsibility to ensure that the right equipment is available to use the website and screen out anything that may damage it. We will not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise to computer equipment as a result of using this website.

 7) how long your information is kept for

We will keep your information internally until we deem it safe to remove – please note that we need to retain some information for tax, legal or regulatory purposes.
