terms and conditions

deposit

I ask for a 50%, non-refundable deposit up front for all orders of £20 or more.

wedding deposit

Wedding cakes take a lot of time and love and I turn down other orders to focus on yours, so I ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit. You’ll need to pay the rest no later than 4 weeks before the wedding day. Unfortunately, if the balance isn’t paid on time, I won’t be able to bake your cake.

cake stand hire

If you’d like to hire a cake stand for your wedding, it’s £15, plus a £30 deposit. Bring it back undamaged within a week and I’ll pay your deposit right back.

final payment

Please pay the balance for your order 1 week prior to delivery / collection. I accept cash, mobile or online payments. Just let me know if you need a receipt.

non-edible items

Sometimes I use decorations that aren’t edible. If that’s the case for your order, I’ll let you know. It’s your responsibility to remove them before serving the cake to your guests.

allergens

I work hard to make sure there’s no cross-contamination of allergen-containing ingredients. However, as all of my cakes are prepared in the same kitchen, my products are not suitable for people with food allergies.

visuals

I’ll always do my best to make sure the designs we’ve agreed are the designs I deliver. However, as my cakes are baked and decorated by hand (not by robots), you might spot a few small differences.

changes

Please let me know about any changes to your order at least 7 days before delivery / collection. I may need to charge a little more for some changes.

cancellations

Plans change, but if you cancel your order once I’ve started working on it, or after I’ve bought items in, there may be a charge to pay. If you cancel a wedding cake within 4 weeks of the wedding day, the full balance will still be payable.

liability

Once Elvis (or your cake) has left the building or my vehicle, I can’t be held responsible for any damage that may occur.

storage and handling

To keep your cake looking and tasting just as it should, please handle it with care:

  • do not hold the cake box by the sides, hold it by the base instead

  • where possible, store it in a cool / dry place

  • when transporting, place it on a flat surface, a foot well or an empty boot is perfect, and secure the cake box when you’re transporting it to make sure it can’t move around

  • always keep your cake/s away from direct sunlight, spotlights and large candles
